~~~प्रतिरूप~~~

तेरे माथे की सिलवटों में सिर्फ फ़िक्र है मेरी 

हर सांस में शामिल दुआ है मेरे लिए 

मैं कितना भी आगे बढूँ, चाहे जहां भी जाऊं 

सिर्फ तेरे दामन में पाती हूँ सुकून दुनिया भर का 

कोई कुछ भी समझे, मुझे पर तू जानती है मुझे 

हर धड़कन मेरी, पढ़ लेती है हर शिकन मेरी 

तुझसे ही अस्तित्व मेरा, तुझी से जीवन मेरा 

तेरी बूढ़ी, मुस्कुराती, तजुर्बेकार आँखें तकती हैं मुझे 

अपना विश्वास समेटती, संजोती मन में 

हर पल करती बयां ये सच...

तू फिर से जीती है अपना जीवन मुझे में

और मैं खुद में गढ़ती हु प्रतिरूप तेरा माँ !

~~~Team Clean Jaipur~~~

Team Clean Jaipur

(An Initiative by the Citizens of Jaipur to make Pink City a clean & neat place to visit and live. )

While the entire city was asleep enjoying pinks of winters in cosy quilts and pillows at 5:30 AM on 23 December 2012, the volunteers of Team Clean Jaipur were out on the roads of Walled City, gearing up for 3rd Cleaning Drive in 10 Days. And this time, the TCJ was accompanied by more youngsters joining in like students and teachers of MGD School and some others who understood their responsibility to keep the city clean like we keep our homes neat.

Well it all started with a mere thought amongst few friends when Avi Dandiya, an NRI visited his hometown a couple of weeks back. He was shocked with the way garbage and dirt has increased in the city. His simple idea was, ‘we are responsible as citizens for the garbage production and we must know and act how to manage it so the place where we live is clean and hygienic to live in.’ Administration is responsible for the cleaning-the-city-job.. Yes! But if the work’s not done then we must do something about it instead of merely waiting. If they are not cleaning it, let’s do it ourselves.

Question was how should people know and join in for the drive. And what more could be faster than the social network... with the thought, an event was created on Facebook. Within no time people started pouring in and The first Cleaning Drive was kept on 14th December 2012. The core team joined in for two-three meetings to discuss where to start from and ‘how to’ part of the game. 9-10 people like Avi Dandiya, Amarjeet Sangwan, Pradeep Kothari, Mayur Tiwari, Amit Badia, Rachana Kulshrestha, Viren Singh, Prakash Jangid, Rajeev Awasthi, gathered and they scanned the areas where the garbage was lying unattended. All the spots were identified and the Vaishali Nagar was chosen to the first area to start the drive with. But as they say everything begins at heart, and hence it was decided to meet the heart of the city, Statue Circle. Everyone gathered at Statue Circle, besides the core team more people joined in.  The first drive went successful with Team’s own efforts and equipment, also the tractors to pick up the garbage and to dump at the dumping zone.

35 volunteers turned up that day from across the city, and they were on spot captured by the media too. RJ Sudarshan, from Red FM joined in for the drive and helped to spread the word. Later that very day the Team was called by the Nagar Nigam. The authorities were at first bit sceptical about the motto of the whole effort but then they were surprised and hopefully happy to know that some genuine citizens here are here trying to make an honest effort to bring the change by ‘being the change’ themselves and they very much support the Administration and are not against it.

The CEO of Nagar Nigam, in the awe and amazement of the team and its efforts, decided to join the team and get a firsthand experience of what what was actually happening. On the 2nd Drive, conducted on 16th December 2012 was joined by the CEO and 100 plus volunteers.  The people and the media everyone supported and soon the word spread like fire. Mr. Jagroop Singh, assured to support the drive everytime with all the equipment and support staff. And on 23rd December as well TCJ was working with the support of Nagar Nigam.

Idea is to not only just clean but to educate our fellow citizens, the people of this very city on the Do’s and Don’ts. There are places where there’s no dumpster but people throw the garbage without a single thought here and there even when the dumpsters are there. Apart from households, a very big chunk of garbage comes from shops, restaurants, marriage/event joints, and corporate. If we know how to segregate the waste and put it at the right place then things would be easy. If we do not spit here and there, if we use urinals only, if we  do not throw rappers of chocolates, biscuits, chips and pouches of mouth fresheners i.e. Gutkas, plastic tea glasses, and many more things, then there would be less or no need of drives like this.

The team in the third drive in the walled city, went door to door to educate and spread the word about cleanliness. The team soon be visiting schools and will be conduction workshops for kids to understand the importance. There will be constant news feeds and tips on the official page of the team on facebook. And some interesting educational jingles (jingles with message) that would be run on FM and in Cinema halls.

TCJ has decided to remain a volunteer organization to stay out of ego clashes and disputes of designation, and to remain united for the cause. The only agenda and message is to educate, and keep the city clean but virtue of self efforts and the support by Nagar Nigam. We say no to garbage, dirt and disease. And we want a clean, hygienic and infection free Pink City. 

~~~'झाड़ू का जादू'~~~

4 बज गए पर ... पिक्चर अभी बाकी है मेरे दोस्त 

"भोर हुई सूरज की किरणें निकलीं नभ के भाल से श्रम की ये साकार मूर्तियाँ लड़ने चलीं अकाल से "

1989 छठी कक्षा की एक कविता की कुछ पंक्तियाँ फिर से स्मृतिपटल पे उभर आयीं। 14 दिसम्बर 2012 की सुबह का नज़ारा ही कुछ ऐसा था और अनुभव भी। गुलाबी नगरी के ह्रदयस्थित, स्टेचू सर्किल पे कुछ साकार मूर्तियाँ, मीठी नींद त्याग, ब्रह्म महूर्त में चलीं आयीं। 

ठान लिया था सभी ने कि आज खजाना लूट के रहेंगे। और फिर एक बार जो कमिटमेंट कर दी सो कर दी। मौका था "टीम क्लीन जयपुर" के, न सिर्फ मूर्त लेने का बल्कि, अपने स्वरूप में आते ही कुछ कर गुजरने का भी। बड़ी बातें नहीं बल्कि कर्म को बनाया अपना धेय। कल तड़के 4 बज गए और पार्टी शुरू हो गयी। खोज में निकले थे सोने की। वो सोना जो हर गली नुक्कड़ में अपार मिलता है इन दिनों हमारे शहर में। जिसे हम खुद अपने घर से बाहर फेंक देते हैं। और दोस्तों सोना मिला, ढेर सारा सोना मिला। इतना की चार ट्रेक्टर भर गए पर हम सारा सोना समेट नहीं पाए। जो रह गया है उसे 'क्लीन स्वीप' करने एक कोशिश और, 16 दिसम्बर को सुबह 5:30 पे Queens Road पर एकत्रित हो कर करेंगे। 

गौरतलब बात ये है की बस एक दो बार सफाई करना काफी नहीं है बल्कि ये एक सतत प्रयास है। एक जीवित, सतत, सांस लेता हुआ सपना, कि एक दिन गुलाबी नगरी, गंदगी और कचरे के अभिशाप से मुक्त हो, स्वच्छ और सौन्दर्यपूर्ण होगी। झाड़ू का जादू तो अभी सिर्फ अपने होने की एक झलक दिखा पाया है। वो दिन दूर नहीं जब ये जादू सर चढ़ के बोलेगा ... बोलेगा कि हमारा शहर का गुलाबी रंग और गाढ़ा हो गया है, सफाई का रंग जो घुल गया है। 

लेकिन पिक्चर अभी बाकी है मेरे दोस्त! ये कचरा रूपी सोना हैरी पॉटर की बढ़ते बालों की तरह है। ये वापस आता रहेगा इसलिए ये मुहीम भी जारी रहेगी। मगर चिंता का विषय इस कचरे का वापस आना नहीं है बल्कि इसका प्रबंधन है। बचपन से हम सब जानते हैं कि कूड़ा, कूड़ेदान में ही डालना चाहिए। बगल वाले खाली प्लाट या सड़क पे नहीं। मगर दिल तो बच्चा है जी, मानता ही नहीं। :) 

ज़मीनी कचरा तो फिर भी साफ़ हो जाएगा पर दिल-ओ-दिमाग पे जमे कचरे का ... मेरा मतलब है सोने का क्या कीजियेगा???

त्रिवेणी 2

ना मिलते जख्म दिल को इतने, ना रहता कोई निशाँ रूह पर 

वो मेरा हमसफ़र होता, जो जुबाँ में छिपा नश्तर नहीं होता 

लगा के मरहम अश्क का, मुस्कुराहट ओढ़ ली मैंने !

~~~दर्द के दस्तावेज~~~

बंद किताबों के पन्नों में कुछ सूखे गुलाब आज भी जिंदा हैं 

उनसे जुड़े हुए तुम्हारे कुछ अधूरे वादे आज भी शर्मिंदा हैं 

अपनी ना उम्मीदियों का चर्चा मैं यहाँ क्या करूँ 

वो भूले हुए किस्सों की तरह मेरे ज़हन में वाबस्ता हैं 

मैं हर पल तुम्हारी मुस्कुराहटों पे लिखती रही 'ख़ुशी'

हाँ तुम्हारे लबों पे मेरे दर्द के दस्तावेज आज भी पुख्ता हैं

हर अश्क को पलकों की कतारों पे जमा रखा है 

हाँ तेरी यादों को मैंने बड़े करीने से सजा रखा है
